New Toy & Coat Drive now until Dec. 21st

It's the season to help those who can use assistance with the holidays and cold weather.  Salem is collecting items that can help others with the needs of the holiday season.  Place a new, unwraped toy in the box by the desk in the front lobby.  Or bring a new or gently worn coat so others can stay warm.  New socks are great, too.  Place your items in the box by Dec. 21st.  Thanks for your help !

Canned Food Drive  Now through Dec. 18th.  Earn Community Service Hours

One in five children in Georgia struggles with hunger.  That means 523,470 children are hungry.  Over 1,561,360 Georgians have hunger problems.  So bring in canned goods between now and Dec. 18th to help can hunger.  If you bring in 5 canned goods, you will receive credit for one hour of service.  For ten cans donated, you will receive two hours of community service.  Drop off your donations in the Red Drop Off Box in the front office.

Parent Kick Off Meetings to Help Make Salem Great!

We need your help to make Salem great!  The kick off programs for "Fathers on Friday" will be Friday, December 7th from 8-9 AM.   The   "Moms on Monday" kickoff  will be held Monday, December 10th from 8 - 9 AM.  Salem needs our parents to commit to time on either a Monday or Friday morning from 8:15 - 8:45 or a Monday or Friday afternoon from 3:45 - 8:45.
We are hoping that parents can volunteer to help with at least one morning  (Monday or Friday AM) or one afternoon (Monday or Friday PM) each week.  Parents don't have to commit to each Monday or Friday, but any time you can give will be great!  We appreciate our parents!

Salem Lions Baseball Team Finishes 3rd

in the National Championship Series

The Salem Lions Baseball team, coached by Mr. Marius Nolden, finished a stellar fall baseball season finishing third in  the National Championship Series and second in the Georgia State Division.  This is the first time the Salem team has achieved a 15 win and 4 loss record.  The team will play in the USA Youth Nationals in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in June 2019.  They have the  honor of being invited to play on national TV in the Cooperstown  (Hall of Fame) Baseball World Championship in July, 2019.  This is the top rated baseball championship for this age group.  Well done!
