New Teacher Wins $1,000 Grant!

Salem Middle School's New Teacher Wins $1,000 Grant!
Salem Middle School is a place where the educational success of its students is celebrated.  The same can also be said of its illustrious teachers.  Ms. Addie Taylor, a new teacher and graduate of Fort Valley State University, is one of the few recipients of Georgia Power's New Teacher Assistance Grant of $1,000.
The purpose of this grant is to reward and encourage outstanding new teachers for selecting the profession of teaching, as they are the beacons of light that guide future generations to personal and educational success.  These funds help selected first year teachers in purchasing supplies for their classrooms that will aid them as they provide instruction of the curriculum.
The grant can be used to buy materials that include, but are not limited to, books, journals, science kits, art supplies, educational software, CD/DVDs, computers, projectors, and/or programs.
Congratulations to Ms. Taylor, for it appears that she is on the everlasting road of continued success and will instill in her students the same tenacity she holds when it comes to achieving one's dreams and goals.  Ms. Taylor makes the Salem Lions proud!
